The order of the day

We live in perilous times, the loss of a whole generation to moral ineptitude. Such it is that the very yardstick for measuring moral validity is crooked, it has been manipulated.  What then can we say, we try to place the blame? Just a bit on the part of the misguided youth! The brunt should be borne by the parents for their wards. It is a system, yes! Corruption has been institutionalized. In the sea of millions of people,  those who stand for the right thing are now considered the exception.
Power corrupts! And absolute power corrupts absolutely! The rot started from the top, the very pinnacle of government.  From the pyramidal top they shit on the public/civil service, which in turn empty its bowels on the ordinary people. Before the Fatherland gained such notorious reputation and his citizenry a subject of ridicule in various media outlets around the world such it was that even IPs originating from there are blocked, a time existed when respect was accorded any Nigerian. Now we are avoided like a plague. Perhaps our image don't matter,  we are happy here? those in diaspora keenly feel it though. I'm in no way a saint! The lure of this continual burgeoning crime is especially sweet, after all who doesn't like a free meal, but as the saying goes, “awoof dey purge bele “. This is so true.
The killer’s are lauded now, the corrupt are friends of a people,  the scammers are the favourites of their parent, all they have to do is wave the magic wand and all will go their way! Money speaking!  Owo, Kudi, Ego all in all money surely answers a lot of things.
To remedy the scheme of things and the order of the day, steps must be retraced if the lead has not been lost. The elite occupy a niche of their own, as such, the overhaul cannot from the base begin. It must start from the very top, the pinnacle of government. With a credible leader must things start. Honesty, Hard work and loyalty to the Fatherland must be institutionalized. The doctrine of Noblesse Oblige must be well propagated as a vehicle for the emancipation of ordinary Nigerians from our blind walk in the abyss of moral destitution.
